Monica Hargrave is a versatile harpist with repertoire ranging from Bach to Beethoven, Brubeck to Sacred works. Ms. Hargrave received her Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from Indiana University School of Music and a Master of Arts in Music from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She has done radio appearances on Talk Back Atlanta, and television appearances for Good Day Atlanta. Monica has 3 CD recordings, Divine Time, Divine Season, and Harp to Heart.
Ms. Hargrave has served as principal harpist with the Albany and Gainesville Symphony orchestras. She has also performed frequently with the Greenville, Macon and Columbus Symphonies. Throughout her career as a professional harpist, Ms. Hargrave has backed artists such as Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and Johnny Mathis.
Available for engagements throughout the Southeast, Ms. Hargrave has played for countless corporate events, dinner parties, weddings and other special occasions. With a professional yet relaxed demeanor, Ms. Hargrave caters to all kinds of audiences, from lively children at school demonstrations, to smaller intimate gatherings.
