Monica Hargrave has been a professional harpist for more than thirty years. Atlanta is home. Monica’s freelance work has afforded her with frequent opportunities with the Atlanta Symphony, Albany Symphony and Greenville Symphony. Monica is a versatile and accomplished harpist with a repertoire reaching from classical to alternative styles including jazz and gospel. She is a graduate of Indiana University where she received a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance. Monica’s performances have included a variety of musical genres backing artists from Ray Charles, Johnny Mathis, Natalie Cole, and Yo-Yo Ma. She has provided music for corporate events including Coca-Cola, The Hawks Foundation, and Bank of America. Monica has performed on tours in several countries in South America, as a recital soloist, concertos with orchestra accompaniment and with the Kimoni Flute and Harp Duo. Monica has played for wedding ceremonies, receptions, dinner, and numerous other special occasions.
